With a naturally optimistic outlook, Danielle brings warmth and perspective to every situation she’s in.
Danielle Smith graduated with a BS degree in advertising and public relations from Kansas State University and began her career as a copy editor at the Topeka Capital-Journal for a year before joining the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation as graphics and marketing specialist. During her eight and a half years at the Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation, she was a member of IABC Topeka, and worked on the Alumni Association membership rebranding project that earned two Gold District VI CASE Awards in the Alumni Relations Improvement and Communications Improvement categories in 2021.
Danielle started D Smith Designs LLC in October 2022, freelance designing the Wichita Business Magazine and for several other businesses in the region.
When Danielle isn’t creating, crafting, and collaborating on campaigns for Compass clients, you will find her watching her favorite movie Remember the Titans or with husband cheering on the K-State Wildcats, the Royals, or their kiddos! She says the number of sports they are in just seem to keep adding up as they get older, but her and Tanner wouldn’t trade these experiences for the world.
During the summer, you can find her at Melvern Lake and Table Rock Lake. She married into a family of boating fanatics and quickly followed suit.
Danielle is married to Tanner Smith and they have two children, Hunter and Harper.
