I Believe in Unicorns

I believe unicorns exist.

Not in the fairytale, galloping-across-a-rainbow kind of way (although, let’s be honest, I wouldn’t say no to seeing that too). I believe in the real-life, everyday magic that shows up when people pour their hearts into building something bigger than themselves.

I see unicorns all the time.

I see it in the passion of a business owner telling the story of how they got started— the moments of hope, grit, and sleepless nights woven together into something incredible.

I see it in the marketing strategies that aren’t just ads, but invitations—inviting people to believe, to connect, to dream.

I see it in the clients who don’t settle for “good enough,” but push for better—because they know their team, their customers, and their future deserve it.

I see it in the quiet moments when someone chooses to care just a little bit more than necessary, even when nobody’s watching.

That’s the thing about unicorns. They’re not easy to spot if you’re looking for the glitter and fireworks. Real unicorns show up in the effort. In the heart. In the why behind the work.

At Compass and in every project I’m lucky enough to be part of, I see people creating magic every single day—not by chasing the spotlight, but by chasing excellence, kindness, creativity, and courage.

When you choose to dream big, act bravely, and keep striving even when the easier choice would be to quit—you are being a unicorn.

We need more of that.

We need more people who believe that storytelling can change a business. That marketing can build not just sales, but relationships. That a little spark of magic, fueled by genuine effort, can make a difference for generations to come.

So here’s my invitation to you:
Don’t just look for unicorns. Be one. Be the one who brings a little magic, a little hope, and a whole lot of heart into the work you do. You never know who you’ll inspire just by showing up with your whole self.

Magic is real.
It’s created by people like you.
And yes, it’s absolutely worth believing in.
